BCCI signed the Antwerp Declaration

The Declaration calls for an "Industrial Deal" – complementing the "EU Green Deal" – as a strategic priority for the next EU legislative period to help create the business case for investment and deliver the green transformation here in Europe. The Declaration addresses the most pressing concerns regarding Europe's industrial landscape at a time when European industry is facing its worst economic downturn in a decade and declining competitiveness.
This document also underlines the strong commitment of industry to Europe and its transformation, outlining the urgent needs and solutions of industry to make Europe competitive and sustainable. It is a call to revitalize the industrial ecosystem in Europe by strengthening the core industrial sectors and all downstream sectors and actors to create value and ensure their competitiveness against the backdrop of changing geopolitics. The Antwerp Declaration and its call for a European Industrial Deal has seen a remarkable surge in support, reaching 1,000 supporters from business leaders of companies, associations and trade unions representing 25 sectors across Europe in a historic show of unity. and the Bulgarian Chamber of Chemical Industry.
Marko Mensink, CEO of Cefik, emphasized the urgency of the situation: "Europe's future is made with industry. A common European approach to industrial bargaining is essential. Today, 1,000 organizations are united in their strong call for a European Industrial Deal, to implement the Green Deal, to ensure that industry remains globally competitive and to keep high-quality jobs for European workers in Europe."
