The Bulgarian Chamber of Chemical Industry is a member of Responsible Care global initiative since 2004. Responsible Care@ is an initiative aimed at building confidence and trust in the industry, contributing to raising living standards and quality of life, being both an ethic and a commitment.

Over the past 15 years, more than 30 chemical companies, members of the Chamber, were awarded Responsible Care-Logo Certificate and are engaged through an Agreement for continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental protection in the production processes.

The companies part of Responsible Care family report on an annual basis key indicators on the health and safety performance, the main environmental pollutants, transport incidents, the use of natural resources, etc.

One of the main contributions of Responsible Care to the business of the chemical companies in Bulgaria is a result of the exchange of experience, the share of good practices and mutual assistance. The annual meetings, workshops, and trainings events connect representatives of business and help building collegiate and friendly relationships between them.
