on PFAS REACH  Restrictions and FPP4EU

On February 7, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the proposal to restrict PFAS. The proposal is now in the hands of ECHA's Scientific Committees for Risk Assessment (RAC) and Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) to discuss it and provide their expert opinions. ECHA's public consultation on the restriction started on 22 March with a comment deadline of 25 September 2023.

Patricia Muñoz, Cefic's FluoroProducts Sector Group Manager for Europe (FPP4EU) dedicated to PFAS, will provide an overview of PFAS applications in the EU and the proposal to limit PFAS. It will describe the structure and initiatives of FPP4EU, as well as provide guidance for companies to identify their uses of PFAS and participate in ECHA's public consultation.
