Cefic has announced the issue of its bulletin with summary data on the key performance indicators (KPIs) of the European chemical industry within Reponsible Care initiative for 2018 - CEFIC RESPONSIBLE CARE® KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS - 2018.

„The latest Responsible Care 2018 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reports overall stabilised figures across reporting areas, including employees in the chemical sector, along with overall emissions to air and emissions to water. Looking back further over the past 10 years, almost all KPIs have reported significant reductions; including Sulphur Dioxide in the air by 62%, Chemical Oxygen Demand returned to the environment by 30%, Nitrogen Oxides in the air by 29% and Phosphorus present in the water by 29%.”
