Sector Advisory Council for assessment of the competence of the workforce in the chemical industry
The Sector Advisory Council (SAC) for assessment of the competence is a permanent advisory, expert and coordinating body for policy making, cooperation, mutual consultations and partnership for the implementation of a competency-based approach to management, development and assessment of the workforce potential in the sector.
SAC is an autonomous and independent structure, institutionally linked to the National reference network set up under the project “Development and implementation of an information system for assessing the competence of the workforce in sectors and regions." Members of the SAC, along with assessors, professionals and experts involved in the project form the sector reference point (sector skills unit) for competency assessment.
The Sector Advisory Council (SAC) for assessment of the competence in the chemical sector was founded on December 1, 2011 in Sofia.
Founders of SAC are: managers and HR experts of the chemical companies participating as "pilot enterprises"; representatives of other leading companies in the sector; representatives from the public sector - NAVET, the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, the National Labour Federation “Chemistry and Industry” to the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), the National Federation "Chemistry" to the Confederation of Labor "Podkrepa", project partners, representatives of BIA and BCCI.
