Governing board members of the Union of Chemists in Bulgaria extend a cordial invitation to all scientists, lecturers, teachers, and learners in the field of chemistry to participate in Twelfth National Conference on Chemistry to be held at University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, Bulgaria from 25th to 27th September 2025.

Twelfth National Conference on Chemistry is organized under the motto ‘Chemistry for building a decarbonized society’. The main objective of the conference is to discuss research and innovation in all fields of chemistry related to smart, sustainable, and inclusive growth, with emphasis on the latest developments in chemistry and relation to health, clean energy, and environment. In this connection, investigations of clean hydrogen production and decarbonizing energy, chemistry for green energy, green lifestyle, and recycling and reuse will be strongly encouraged. Multidisciplinary topics concerned with theoretical chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, earth and life sciences are also recommended. Challenges and solutions to industrial catalysis will be particularly appreciated. Innovations in the chemicals sector will be supported that lead to the development of advanced materials (such as hybrid and lightweight materials, materials for tissue engineering, self-cleaning surfaces, and energy recovery and storage), and advanced process technologies that enable more flexible production with more efficient use of energy, feedstock, and water. Contributions to increased use of renewable feedstock will also be considered. Special emphasis is given to chemistry education related to science for economic and social prosperity. Papers on the following fields are invited: analytical chemistry; catalysis; ceramics and silicate chemistry; chemical engineering; chemistry education; electrochemistry; environmental protection; food chemistry, green energy, inorganic chemistry; natural products; nanomaterials; new materials; organic chemistry; organometallics chemistry; polymer chemistry and technology; petrochemistry; pharmaceuticals; physical chemistry; pulp and paper technology; radiochemistry; solid state chemistry; textile and leather chemistry.

A round table on the topic "Business, Science, Education" is planned as part of the conference.
